Abstract:
4YSZ precursor gels were prepared by sol-gel processes using citric acid, which was doped Fe2O3 or Cr2O3, respectively. The dried gels were pre-sintered at 500 ℃. The obtained powders were first pressed into a cylindrical pellet, then the pellets were sintered at 1 300 ℃ for 2 h. The effect of Fe2O3 or Cr2O3 doping content on sintering character and conductivity was also studied. The results indicated that the sintering character and conductivity increased when the sample was doped by Fe2O3. The low temperature conductivity increased but the sintering character decreased when the Cr2O3 content was increased.
