Abstract:
Black crystal Ni nanoparticles were prepared by reducing Ni2 in the reducing solution of pH11 hydrazine hydrate-sodium carbonate containing 1-butyl-3-meth-ylimidazolium bis (trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imide ([Bmim]NTf2) ionic liquids. The structure and morphology of Ni nanoparticles were characterized by XRD and TEM respectively and the thermostability by TG and DTA. The results showed that Ni nanoparticles were irregular globoid and their size distributed in a narrow range of 3~32 nm in diameter. They were crystals with face-centered lattice cube. In reducing process, the ionic liquids were not only reactive media but also modifiers. They formed a modifying layer in the surface of Ni nanoparticles to stabilize the size of the nanoparticles and hold back congregating among nanoparticles and also to increase the thermostability of the nanoparticles.
