| Abstract: |
| Key techniques of ferronickel smelting with laterite ore in blast furnace(BF) were analyzed and a series of technical obstacles had been solved by the Chinese researchers. Up to date, laterite ore can be smelted in 600 m3 BF. Unit energy consumption of this process was less than that of molten BF ironmaking. The technology of laterite ore smelted in BF was a good demonstration of multi-resources utilization with a positive prospect for development and popularization. |
