Abstract:
      The solvent extraction kinetics of germanium in dilute sulfuric solution by 7815 was investigated with the application of single drop technique. The results showed that the initial extraction rate of germanium improved by increasing interfacial area between the two phases and the initial concentration of sulfuric acid and germanium in aqueous phase, and the extraction of germanium may be a diffusion-controlling step. The extraction rate equation was established from the experimental results, this is: Jf=2.3×10-9[Ge]0.91[H+]0.32, and the relative standard deviation value was 3.98%.
