Abstract:
The spinel LiMn2O4 was synthesized by the modified method of solid-state reaction with one step heat treatment at single temperature interval in the industrial furnace. The physical characterization was studied by XRD, SEM, Laser Particle Size Analyzer and Surface Area (BET) Analyzer, respectivelt, the electrochemical capability was investigated according to the soft-packed battery testing with the material as active material. According to the results, the samples have perfect spinel structure and the BET is 0.2~0.8 m2/g, the grant constant is a=0.823~0.824 nm. The secondary particles are formed by the aggregation of primary particles like abbreviated octahedron whose particle diameter is 1.0 μm or more. The cells are produced using the material as anode active material, the polar-plate compacting density is 2.8 g/cm3 or over, the initial capacity is 108 mA·h/g or more.
