| The global primary Nickel production in 2001 is 1 122million tons, 3 7 % increase compared to that in 2000 The consumption is 1 104million tons in t he same period, 2 3% lower than that in 2000 The Nickel market sees a supply su rplus of 1 8 000 tons And we forecast the global primary Nickel production in 2002 will be 1 193million tons, increase by 6% year on year The consumption in 2002 wil l be 1 156million tons, increase by 4 7% year on year The supply surplus will be extended to 37 000 tons The 2002 average LME cash price of Ni will be $5 969/t |
