| Abstract: |
| The vacuum thermal reduction process to make lithium is introduced in detail, this process uses the Li 2CO 3 as raw material, and by vacuum thermal reduction with Si-Fe alloy or aluminium powder after roasted with lime or alumina additives to produce metallic lithium. This process has the following advantages compared with LiCl melt electrolysis process: low cost, high lithium purity, without environment pollution. |
