Abstract:
A clear zinc hydrometallurgical process is proposed. By using iron and part of zinc in sphalerite concentrates and manganese in pyrolusite, high quality Mn-Zn soft magnetic ferrites can be directly prepared in the process, going on premise remaining the neutral leaching, purification and electrowinning in the traditional zinc hydrometallurgy flow sheet. This method includes the following processes, such as leaching the neutral leached residue with high concentration sulphuric acid at high temperature, reduction and copper removing, indium extracting, the primary purifying, deeply purifying and zinc separating, coprecipitating and preparing Mn-Zn soft magnetic ferrites, etc. This process cancel the iron removing process in traditional zinc hydrometallurgy flow sheet, so it has the following advantages: no discharging of iron residue and SO_2, simplify the indium recovering process, increasing the indium recovery obviously, and resolving the iron supply problem for long time existed in directly coprecipitating process.
