| Abstract: |
| The effect of CaO on viscosities of Fe_nO-MgO-SiO_2 semi-synthetic slags has investigated at conditions relevant to nickel flash smelting processes. The results show that silicate anions became smaller by increasing CaO content, which results in a decrease of slag's viscosity especially at higher MgO contents. At CaO contents of about 4%, Fe to SiO_2 ratio of 1.2, MgO contents up to 12%, a good physical properties of slag can be acquired. |
