Abstract:
The characteristics of arsenic and carbonic bearing gold ores, the calcine and the leaching residues are studied. The results indicate gold in ores exists as submicroscopic or "invisible" inclusions, and making it refractory to cyanide leaching directly. Gold is presented as "invisible" in the calcine also, but it could be cyanide leaching. The process of whole ore roasting and then cyanide leaching has been used based on this gold ore's characteristics, and the results show that gold extraction recovery rate is larger than 80% by using this process.
