| Abstract: |
| The environmental impact assessment of wastes produced by the Imperial Smelting Process (ISP) for metallic zinc and lead production in a certain smelter has done quantitatively by life cycle assessment method. Using Global Warming Potential (GWP) and Acidification Potential (ACP) assesses the environmental impacts. The most responsible process for GWP is power and electricity generation, followed by smelting and zinc distillation, whereas it is sintering for ACP. This study provides a scientific basis for the further improvement of ISP. |
