Abstract:
      Separation and recovery of indium and gallium ions in acidic solution with the macroreticular chelating resin containing aminomethylphosphonic acid groups(D418) was investigated.The resin exhibited high affinity for gallium and indium ions in sulfuric acid solution.Indium and gallium ions adsorbed were eluted by 4 mol/L hydrochloric acid or 1 mol/L sodium hydroxide,respectively.The remarkable difference in the behavior of gallium and indium ions adsorbed on the resin in sodium hydroxide solution indicates that the proposed resin appears to be useful for the recovery of gallium and indium ions in acid solution.
