Abstract:
      Al_2O_3 coatings were prepared by the supersonic plasma spraying system.The effect of arc power and spraying distance on Al_2O_3 coatings' microstructure and properties was characterized by SEM and Nano-indentation tester.The results indicate that Al_2O_3 coatings have the lowest porosity rate and the highest micro-hardness and elastic modulus with 60 kW arc power and 100 mm spraying distance.The micro-hardness and elastic modulus which are mainly affected by coatings' porosity and micro-cracks,increase fir...
