Abstract:
The water solubility of microemulsion system composed of DTAB, different co-surfactant and oil was investigated. The effect of temperature, pH value on the stability of the systems was studied. The pseudo-ternary phase diagrams in quaternary microemulsion systems of DTAB were measured. The results show that when the mass ratio of DTAB to n-butyl alcohol is 13∶7, and the mass ratio of both DTAB and n-butyl alcohol to cyclohexane is 3∶1, the maximum water solubilizing capacity in DTAB/n-butyl alcohol/cyclohexane/water system is 50%. The influence of temperature below 80℃ and pH value on the stability of this system are negligible.
