Abstract:
      A 3-dimensional numerical model of spray dryer tower was built with the use of the CFD package Fluent. The distributions of temperature, velocity, particles tracks and drying speed inside the tower were analyzed. The results show that the distributions of temperature and velocity fields inside the tower are applicable, and the main drying area is on the top of the tower where the drying speed of liquid droplet is very fast. Industrial applications show that this technology can reduce the construction cost of rotary kiln and energy consumption.
