Abstract:
      The research of preheating carbon anode by flue gas in aluminum reduction cell was carried out. A heat recovery method and the corresponding technology were proposed. With the application of the heat transferring theory, the heat exchanging model was also built and the heat recovery rate was calculated. The results indicate that the heat recovery rate was relatively low. Therefore, the external heat source is necessary in order to recover the heat from flue gas.
