Abstract:
      Based on the analysis of alumina clinker sintering process in combination with pulverized coal combustion, material pyrogenation, cooling of furnace wall finally, and heat transfer and mass transport equations, the combined heat transfer mathematical model for rotary kiln clinker sintering was built up. According to the in-site real operation parameters, the model was solved numerically for an alumina rotary kiln to predict the temperature profiles of gas and material in the axial direction. With this model through the analysis of the effect of main parameters such as coefficient of combustion air and additive coal on the temperature profiles in alumina clinker sintering process, the operating optimization parameters were presented. These parameters could provide reliable data for the operation optimization and automatic control and realize the improving production capacity and reduced energy consumption of the rotary kiln.
