Abstract:
Vacuum thermo-reduction sintering was performed at 1 000~1 500 ℃ with titanium carbide as reductant which was mixed with TiO2 powder on the basis of the ratio of carbon to oxygen(x/y) of the product TiCxOy according to the reaction: TiO2+TiC TiCxOy+CO(g). The products obtained were characterized by XRD, TiCxOy solid solution with similar structure as TiC can be prepared. The ratio x/y of reacting material is supposed to reach the value of x/y>1.5. TiCxOy solid solution is of good electric conductive properties.
