Abstract:
The extraction purification of nickel sulphate electrolyte was studied. M5640 was used to remove Cu2+. The extraction rate was higher than 99.83% and the content of Cu2+ as lower than 0.1 mg/L on the conditions including pH =3.0, O/A=1/1, volume concentration of M5640 to be 15%, and the reaction time as 2 min. Then, P204 was used to remove other impurities. The conditions included pH =4.0, O/A=2/1, volume concentration of P204 to be 25%, and reaction time as 7 min. At last, raffinate was purified with P507 on the following conditions that 75% P507 was saponificated by sodium hydroxide solution, the concentration of Co2+ was increased to 4.19 g/L (Co/Ni=1/10), pH=4~5 and extraction series was 4. The final raffinate can satisfied the standard of 5N nickel.
