| Abstract: |
| Converting process was an autothermic reaction in which heat-balance was adjusted by the adding of cold materials. Cold materials also serve as an important supplement for blister copper production. After three technical modifications, the production capacity of convert furnace (CF) smelting system and electrolyte system reaches 350 kt/a and 450 kt/a respectively. The cold materials processing capacity of CF serves as an important economic technical index. The plant practice of high cold materials rate and the index optimization of furnace lifetime in Jinlong are introduced. |
