| Abstract: |
| Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group Co., Ltd is the first copper producer in new China since 1949. As a part of its Jinchang Smelter modification and environment upgrading project, a new green-field smelter and refinery with the capacity of 400 kt/a cathode copper from concentrate is under construction. Outokumpu flash smelting and Kennecott-Outokumpu flash converting processes are employed for the project. The main facilities and technologies in the new plants are briefly introduced. |
