| Abstract: |
| Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method was used to research the three-dimensional flow fields stirred by three-layer blades which consist of two straight blades and a lower turbine blade in an agitated vessel in the process of rare earth extraction. Standard k-epsilon turbulent model was used in the computation of flow fields of aqueous phase and organic phase (P507). The velocity and pressure fields in agitation tank generated by the impeller rotating at a constant speed of 300 r/min are obtained. The velocity distribution contours, velocity vector plots and pressure contours are achieved. The above research can provide a theoretical basis for the design and improvement of impellers. |
