Abstract:
The leaching kinetic of vanadium was studied with the shrinking core model of liquid-solid multiphase reaction with the use of desiliconization slag of stone coal leached by alkali after melting and water quenching as raw material. The effects of leaching temperature and initial concentration of vitriolic acid on vanadium leaching rate were investigated. The results show that there are two stages in the leaching process, i.e. the quick leaching stage at the beginning of reaction and the slow leaching stage after 2 minutes. The kinetics of leaching in both the stages is controlled by diffusion through solid product layer, and the reaction activation energy is 13.88 kJ/mol.
