Abstract:
Thermodynamic calculations of desulfurization reaction with barium salt in sodium aluminate solution were conducted, and the desulfurization behaviors of sodium sulfate and sodium carbonate in sodium aluminate solution were analyzed. The results show that the rise of temperature is of benefit to the occurrence of desulfurization and decarbonization reaction, and the low content of carbon alkali can help the removal of sulfur. The appropriate desulfurization rate and final concentration of sodium sulfate and sodium carbonate should be selected during desulfurization process. The higher dosage of desulfurizer is in favor of desulfurization, but excessive amount of desulfurizer may make this reaction incomplete.
