| Abstract: |
| The settling and separating effect of red mud in Bayer process was investigated by changing the flocculant in terms of its additive amount and adding method. The results show that the additive amount of flocculant has significant effect on the settling and separating of red mud. The optimal amount of flocculant is 0.02%~0.04% and the twice addition is more effective than once addition. The compressed liquid/solid ratio is reduced evidently by the addition of flocculant. |
