Abstract:
Pressure leaching experiments were conducted on ferruginous and magnesium laterite-nickel ore. The effects of leaching temperature, time and initial acidity on nickel leaching rate and acidic consumption were investigated in detail. The results show that the nickel leaching rates of ferruginous minerals and magnesium minerals are over 90% and 80% respectively. The acidic consumptions of per ton nickel of ferruginous minerals and magnesium minerals are 45 t and 70 t respectively. Nickel leaching rate can reach 88% or higher and acidic consumption of per ton nickel is about 50 t with application of two-stage pressure leaching process.
