Abstract:
      The experimental study of adding rare earth Ce-La alloy in SS400 steel was conducted. The grain size, composition and microstructure of inclusion were observed and analyzed in steel with optical microscope and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results show that grain size of steel enhances 1~2 levels after adding the rare earth; the silicate inclusion is approximate ellipse with 0.05% addition of rare earth Ce-La, furthermore, the sulfide and silicate inclusion are circular shape when the addition of rare earth Ce-La reaches 0.09%.
