Abstract:
Trace silicic acid in sulfate liquor was purified with ferric hydroxide adsorption process. The results show that the content of zinc and iron in liquor is stable, and the content of silicic acid is reduced to about 1?10-6 from 10?10-6 under the optimum conditions including reaction temperature of 60 ℃, pH=5.5, hydrogen peroxide dosage of 2 mL, reaction time of 60 min, and flocculant dosage of 0.1g/L.
