Abstract:
The extraction separation of tantalum and niobium with MIBK from low hydrofluoric acid concentration system was studied. The O/A ratio, hydrofluoric acid concentration, tantalum and niobium concentration and tantalum-niobium mass ratio on the effect of separation of tantalum and niobium were investigated. The results show that the separation factor of tantalum and niobium is 50 000 under the optimal extraction conditions including extraction time of 5 min, O/A ratio of 5, hydrofluoric acid concentration of 0.5 mol/L, tantalum and niobium total concentration of 60 g/L, and tantalum-niobium mass ratio of 2.
