| Abstract: |
| The variational pattern of zinc recovery and oxidation rate vs. the oxygen concentration in the hearth space of induction furnace were investigated aimed at the lower zinc recovery duo to the oxidation of melted zinc liquid. The results show that the nitrogen injection into the gas-phase space of the electric furnace can increase zinc recovery to 98.08%~98.21%, which is 1.15~2.15 percentage point higher than that of traditional zinc casting furnace without nitrogen injection, under the conditions of 420~520 ℃ and oxygen content in the hearth space less than 5 percent, and no NOx pollution need to be taken into account. |
