Abstract:
Fluorination with NH4F as a precipitant and MgF2 crystal as a nucleating agent has achieved a good result on removal of magnesium impurity from manganese sulfate solutions. The effects of temperature, reaction time and pH, et al on magnesium removal rate in fluorination were investigated. The results show that increasing temperature and pH value of solutions is beneficial to improve the magnesium removal rate. The situation is complex in reaction time. The magnesium removal rate improves with the increase of reaction time within 1 hour and remains essentially constant beyond 1 hour.
