Abstract:
The pilot plant test on ferronickel alloy production from Myanmar Dagon Hill nickel laterite by rotary kiln-electric furnace smelting process (RKEF) was introduced. The optimum process parameters include moisture of 20%~22% in dried ore, pre-reduction temperature of 900 ℃, reductant dosage of 7%, nickel grade in ferronickel alloy of 19%; 25% of dust as dosage of wet laterite, the moisture of dustball of 30% in palletizing process, slag and ferronickel alloy discharging temperature in electric furnace smelting process of 1 550~1 600 ℃ and 1 450~1500 ℃, respectively.
