| Abstract: |
| Manganese dioxide was thermo-gravimetrically analyzed at five different heating rates with thermogravimetric analyzer to manifest its decomposition behaviors at low temperature, and the products of these reactions were verified with XRD spectrums. The mechanisms of these reactions were analyzed by MFK method and Popscu method. The results show that there are two reactions in the process of heating. The product of the first reaction is Mn2O3. The speed function of the first reaction is , and reaction order is 1, which corresponds with the principle of Mample single law. The product of the second reaction is Mn3O4. The speed function of the second reaction is , corresponding with the principle of Avarami-Erofeev law. The mechanisms of the above two reactions are random nucleation and subsequent growth. |
