Abstract:
The direct gold leaching rate of one refractory gold ore in Guizhou Province was about 15%. Refractory gold ore is usually pretreated with roasting at 650 ℃ plus. In order to improve the gold leaching rate, the gold ore was pretreated with low temperature roasting with addition of calcium oxide, and the effects of roasting temperature, dosage of calcium oxide and roasting time on gold leaching rate were investigated. The results show that the gold leaching rate is over 85% under the optimum pretreatment conditions including roasting temperature of 600 ℃, dosage of calcium oxide of 17.5%, and roasting time of 1.5 h.
