Abstract:
The adsorption performance of coal ash, bentonite and activated carbon to removal organic residues in manganese sulfate solution was investigated. Bentonite was chosen as adsorbent for single factor experiment to examine the effects of dosage of bentonite, pH, time and temperature on adsorption. The results show that with bentonite as adsorbent, COD removing rate is 32.4% under the optimal conditions including pH value of solution of 7.0 and dosage of bentonite of 10.0 g for 30 min at 25 ℃. The removal effect on organic matter with modified bentonite is better than that of with unmodified bentonite, and the effect of acidification modified bentonite is better than that of thermalization modified bentonite. The COD removing rate of acidification modified bentonite is 40.8%.
