Abstract:
      ZnO-SiO2-B2O3:Sm3 glass ceramics was prepared with high-temperature melting method. The crystallization and luminescent properties of the glass ceramics were studied with XRD, SEM and fluorescence spectra. The results show that the main crystal phase in the glass ceramics is spinel (ZnAl2O4), and the glass ceramics can emit red light excited with long UV lights. The change of crystallization time causes precipitate of spinel and change luminescent intensity, but does not change peaks position of spectral line. The best Sm3 -doped mole fraction is 0.4%.
