Abstract:
Prepared at different mole ratio of (NH4)2CO3 and Ce(NO3)3, pH value of Ce(NO3)3 solution and feeding time of (NH4)2CO3, Ce2(CO3)3 particles were characterized with SEM and Zeta potentiometer. The results show that pH value of Ce(NO3)3 solution has no effect on morphology of Ce2(CO3)3 particle apart from causing agglomeration of Ce2(CO3)3 particles by changing ion concentration and thickness of double electrode layer of solution. Synthesed at R=1.6, pH=4, and feeding time of 1 h, the Ce2(CO3)3 particles have acceptable morphology and dispersibility.
