Abstract:
The effect of trace nickel element in calcined coke on carbon anode reactivity was investigated. The reactivity of carbon anode was measured in CO2 and air atmosphere respectively. The results show that the right amount of Ni can improve residual anode rate, pulverization rate and mass loss rate of carbon anode in CO2 or air, inhibit its reactivity, improve quality of carbon anode, and reduce additional carbon anode consumption.
