| Abstract: |
| Ba0.2Ca0.8TiO3:Pr nano-powders were prepared with sol-gel method and their structure, morphology and photoluminescence properties were characterized by XRD, SEM and fluorescence spectrophotometer, respectively. The results show that the as-prepared Ca0.8Ba0.2Ti03:Pr3 powders are spherical with submicron particle size. The particles sintered at 900 ℃ for eight hours show a strong red emission (main peak 612 nm), which can be assigned to be a typical 1D2→3H4 transition of Pr3 . The sample treated at a higher temperature (900 ℃) presents the highest initial luminescent intensity and longest decay time. |
