| Abstract: |
| A permanent electrowinning process without membranes was adopted to prepare electrical cobalt from CoCl2 system in closed electrolytic cells. The results show that leakage of chlorine gas is avoided and the operation conditions are improved. The energy consumption for one ton cobalt is 3 400 kWh with current density of 500A/m2. |
