Abstract:
The long afterglow luminescence phosphor Sr5Al2O7S∶Eu2 was prepared by high-temperature solid-state synthesis process with aluminum hydroxide prepared from industrial sodium aluminate solution as raw material. The phase and spectra properties of the material were characterized by XRD and fluorescence spectrophotometer. The effect of Eu2 concentration on luminescent properties was investigated. The results show that under the conditions of x(Eu)=6%, x(H3BO3)=9%, and sintered at 1 200 ℃ for eight hours, the synthesized sample is composed of pure Sr5Al2O7S∶Eu2 phase, the excitation spectra locates at 400~500 nm, and the emission wavelength is about 600 nm. The afterglow of the phosphor has the color of orange.
