Abstract:
      The flow field of stirring tank produced in water was numerically simulated by Multiple Reference Frame (MRF) and standard k-ε turbulent model. The effects of blade height and rotating speed on three-dimensional flow field of stirring tank were analyzed. The macroscopic flow characteristics and averaged velocity distribution were compared and analyzed in detail. The results show that the optimum stirring effect is obtained under the conditions of blade height of 1 200 mm and rotating speed of 1 909 r/min (200 rad/s).
