| Abstract: |
| Zr55Al10Ni5Cu30 alloy was prepared in vacuum medium-frequency induction furnace by graphite crucible casting method with industrial purity raw materials. The alloys were tested by metallography, XRD and micro-hardness testing. The effects of purity of raw materials, degree of superheat and cooling rate on properties of amorphous alloy were investigated. The results show that Zr55Al10Ni5Cu30 amorphous alloy with good performance is prepared with industrial grade materials. Zr55Al10Ni5Cu30 alloys taking into form with low cooling rate have relatively high hardness. Appropriate increase of degree of superheat can reduce formation of crystallites. |
