Abstract:
With 60 kA bottom-cathode rare earth electrolytic cell as model, the moving velocity in anode surface and concentration of gas between anode and cathode were simulated by software CFD with the polar distance of 80, 90, 100, 110 and 120 mm respectively. The simulation results were analyzed. The results show that the optimum polar distance is 110 mm.
