Abstract:
Kinetics of Cu(Ⅱ) extracted from sulfate system by extractant AD100 was studied with a modified Lewis cell. The effects of stirring rate, temperature, interfacial area and concentration of AD100 and initial Cu(Ⅱ) on Cu(Ⅱ) extraction rate were investigated. The results show that the extraction rate of Cu(Ⅱ) is improved with rise of stirring speed, temperature and interfacial area when the stirring speed was below 110 r/min, and remains constant when the stirring speed is above 110 r/min. The activation energy of Cu(Ⅱ) extraction by AD100 is 21.45 kJ/mol. Chemical reaction at interface is the key for extraction. The extraction rate improved with increase of concentration of AD100 in organic phase and Cu(Ⅱ) in aqueous phase. The reaction kinetics equation is r=4.81×10-2[AD100]1.06[Cu2 ]0.33 under the conditions of temperature of 20 ℃ and interfacial area of 20.17 cm2.
