Abstract:
The effects of sodium sulphite on salt discharge by evaporation from sodium aluminate seeded precipitation mother liquor were studied. The results show that precipitation rates of sodium sulfate, sulfosalt, and aluminum hydroxide are improved with increase of sodium sulphite content in sodium aluminate seeded precipitation mother liquor. The main phase in salt slag is NaAlO2?1.25 H2O, Na2CO3, Na2SO3 and Na2SO4. About 7%~11% of sodium sulphite is oxidated to sodium sulfate in evaporation process. The salt discharge rate is influenced by interaction of sodium carbonate, sodium sulfate and sodium sulphite.
