Abstract:
The mineral properties of stone coal with different grain sizes and its effects on vanadium extraction were studied. The results show that CaO content in ore and viscosity of leaching slurry increase gradually with decrease of particle size. The vanadium leaching rate first rises and then drops with decrease of particle size from 0.300 mm to -0.038 5 mm. The maximum leaching rate is 93.04% when particle is -0.074 0.045 mm, furthermore, the vanadium leaching rate begins to drop with particle size of -0.045 mm. The optimum particle size range is -0.3 0.045 mm under this experimental condition.
