Abstract:
The silver in low silver-bearing bismuth molten was removed by being passed through zinc liquid column. The effects of height of zinc liquid column, temperature and time on desilverization were studied. The results show that the silver mass content in bismuth molten reduces from 0.06% to 10 μg/g with the removal rate of silver of 98.01% and from 0.18% to 33 μg/g with the removal rate of silver of 93.45% under the conditions including height of zinc liquid column of 12 cm, temperature of 500 ℃ and time of 120 min. The processes have the advantages of low consumption, low labor strength and environment friendliness.
