| Abstract: |
| The simulated flue gas was desulfurized by absorption with low grade zinc oxide as desulfurizer. The effects of pH value and lead oxide concentration of desulfurization slurry, slurry concentration, and type of absorption reactor on desulfurization were investigated. The scale formation of desulfurization system was observed. The results show that the desulfurization efficiency is above 90% with no scale formation under the following optimum conditions including inlet SO2 concentration of 3000 mg/m3, pH value of 6, slurry concentration of 15%, lead content in slurry of 5%, ratio of liquid to gas of L/G=3 L/m3, flue gas volume of 12 m3/h, and with application of empty tower spraying to desulfurization reactor. |
