Abstract:
Thermodynamics of preparation of titanium aluminium alloy by aluminothermic reduction process was calculated and analyzed. The effects of lime dosage and unit thermal effect on titanium yield rate were investigated. The effects of aluminum dosage on titanium and aluminum contents in Ti-Al alloy were analyzed, and the factors effecting oxygen content in Ti-Al alloy were analyzed. The results show that the optimum lime dosage is 90 percent of the theoretical level and the unit thermal effect is 2 850 kJ/kg.
